Hey guys wondering if anyone has the know how on how to read error codes and also how to clear them before taking your vehicle to the dealer. Also what tools are needed to accomplish both things.

The simplest answer is that $15k computer that dealer and some indy shops have.

The complicated answer is the laptop that some member have managed to put together.

lol seriously? I thought there was some type of tool that they sold to clear the error codes jb3's threw out, maybe I thought wrong?

both plug into your OBD port
both much cheaper way of deleting tuner codes than the above mentioned GT1 type scanners...
