Default ERROR 3F01 Sudden loss of power

BMW E60 520d 163hp (M47)
EGR off, DPF off (both physically and in the software).

Sporadically, the car suddenly cuts the throttle completely and then after about 2 seconds it gives throttle again, but with reduced power. It takes around 10 seconds until full power comes back.

ERROR CODE 3F01 Boost pressure sensor(map sensor):
Inpa said:
Interruption or short to ground.
Is something electrically damaged in the wiring or is it the software(bad tune maybe)? Does it have a loose connection, bad contact, or a broken wire?
I already cleaned it and also replaced it with another used one.

Tell me what it could be and how likely each possibility is based on the error code. Is it the sensor, the software, or something else?

It could be a bad time but the way to find that out is by flashing it back to stock. It also can be wiring. These 2 things are part of basic troubleshooting. If nothing comes out of doing these then come and post findings but it seems you've identified the major possibilities you should check.
