That's essentially the production car, not a concept. Personally, I think it's a good-looking car. As for the comments on handling etc, Honda makes a car in the S2000 that will out-handle virtually anything BMW (and most other manufacturers for that matter) has on the market today.

Hyundai's US sales for 2009 are up 1.3% over 2008 with BMW recording a 26.3% decline in the same period.

What really looks cool are the new Land Roved headlights. I saw them in a new commercial for the Range Rover Sport and they looked amazing.

I don't think it's the Genesis doing it. I think it is first and foremost the global recession and then it is the direction that BMW is taking without taking the customer and especially the enthusiast into consideration. They'll learn the hard way that people won't stay loyal to a brand no matter what you throw at them. They need to look no further than GM and what the Japanese did to it.

That's right -according to a survey linked here a day or two ago, apparently less than 20% of the cars sold this year came from brand-loyal customers. Some of that is probably attributable to the "cash for clunkers" program (which will not have helped the premium brands such as BMW as much as some of the more mainstream brands), but it's becoming clear that the days of customers staying loyal to any given brand are rapidly coming to a close.

I've owned ... one Honda (Honda S2000) ... I would give Honda the +10 for performance and handling in my case .
So you found 1 car in their line up... but I'm sure you'll rather drive any other BMW over the rest of the Honda line up. Toyota had their Supra also.

20 Years ago, BMW and Mercedes pissed on themselves from laughing at teh Japanese attempt to enter the luxury market, with the LS400 and the Q45.

While the Q has gone to pasture, Lexus has become the number 1 luxury brand in the world, and the LS460 is every bit the match for the S-Class and 7 series.

Laugh at the Genesis today- they have room to grow. When you're on top, there's only one direction for you to go.

Korea will be a major player in the next few years.
