I was looking thru the 08 US online owners manual and there are instructions for entering navigation addresses by full name voice command (i.e. it appears as though you can say the name "Boston" in the city input field and the system will look for a match).

Is this something that's new for 08 or maybe for the new progman 25? I had never seen or heard of it before.

One of the other members from NJ told me this quite a while ago and told me how he was doing it. I tried many times but could never complete the information to get the Nav location to work.I got intouch with the person and explained about the problem I was having and was told he would get back to me and walk me thru it to get it to work. He never did so I have to assume it was all B/S/.
cheers

Never had a problem with destination voice recognition. I wonder when it came in?

So you're saying that you can input a city or street by speaking the city or street's full name? Cool.

Yup, you say, "City (or Street) then the name, it then loads a list of likely names and you say "Entry n".

Slow, but cool.

On mine (with Progman 25) it's "Please SAY" rather than "Please SPELL" in each case and the system performs word recognition.
