Well I see by the order tracking my new 530i is enroute! I see by the website that it is on the ship. When I was at the dealer he told me that you can actually find out the name of the ship it's on and be able to track where the ship relative to the port it's delivering it to. The salesman told me 12 days to accross the Atlantic. Does anyone know how to the track the ship it's on? Is there really a way that you can monitor where the ship is during the voyage accross the Atlantic. I'm in New Jersey USA.

Voluntary weather reporting. WW does it, NYK no. You will need to know the ship's name. If it is on WW, then go to
http://www.2wglobal.com
go to Auto Cargo and enter the full VIN.

Thanks.
I think mine only took a week from London to Halifax.
You need the vin number to get the ship name.
Good luck my car was at the port in NJ for 3 weeks but I was getting the aero kit installed. It looked like they painted my aero kit outside on a windy day. Surprised mine took 3 weeks at the port. The [paint looked like it was done in 15 minutes. My BMW dealer who has a paintshop had to completely redo the clear coat on my bumpers.

Thanks for everyone's help. I was able to track the ship and it's scheduled to arrive in NYC on the 28th. Does anyone know how much time from that point? I read on the website it has to go to another distribution center before getting shipped to my local dealer. I'm in NJ so I would think it woudn't take long to get to my dealer since I'm whithin 100 miles of NYC.
