My Ride: 2006 530xi Jet Black exterior, Black leather interior. Sirius Radio. Comfort Access. Winter Package. Automatic.
I recently installed a sprint booster for my 06' 530 xi. Haven't had any problems with it. Earlier today, a message that said "Engine Malfunction, Reducing Power" came up on my dash. The icon that appeared with the message inside the dash between the rpms and spedometer was a transmission with half of it fllled and half empty. Not sure what caused this message to appear and it has not appeared since that one occurance. Does anyone know why that could of happened. And was it because of the sprint booster that was installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My Ride: 2004 545i / Orient Blue (I think) / Tan int / 116's Wheels / ... my favorite option, the HEATED steering wheel!
Previous cars retired:
2006 Corvette Z51, 2002 Corvette Coupe, 2002 Mustang, 1997 Maxima, 1994 Camry, 1990 Supra
None, and I mean none compare to this 545i. The 06 Corvette was faster, but not by much...
What kind of gains do you get with this booster?

There is zero HP/torque gain with the sprint booster. It's a device that makes for faster throttle response. It eliminates the lag between pressing on the throttle and for the engine to respond.
