Maybe this might help:

Good luck!

Apparently, recalibration of fuel injector/Air is the solution to this engine vibration on M54 engines.

Any experts here know what "1199 recalibrated air/fuel 6884" means from the $tealer? And if yes, can this calibration be done via INPA, NCSExpert, DIS, Tools32 or anything else....???

Thanks for the video, unfortunately for M54 engine, I do not have those Injector configuration options. Does that mean I have old INPA M54 files or that coding is not application to M54 engines?

@Nika, if you have INPA and the section in the video is available to you, then the injectors must back in the same spot or needs to be re-coded according to that video. But for me, in my M54, that sections is not present.

To all the rest of the E60 owners with this problem, after a little more research I am lead to believe this issue is related to MAF Sensor, but I am not sure yet. What I would like to ask from all the E60 owners with this problem is - What is the condition of your MAF Sensor? How many K's on the car and has the MAF Sensor ever been changed?

I had to change my VACUUM PUMP due to failure ( it broke and my Brakes along with Turbo lost vacuum)
This has happened to me for the second time.
Anyway, After I changed the broken Vac Pump, Vibrations when parked are not existent in any mode.

Regarding Injectors, on BOSCH machine, it showed 5 of them failure with -12 each, on DIS it showed all within 0 range...
I will also eventually bring car to indy for recoding, but the problem is, nobody knows what needs to be done, and I don't have the cable myself...

Cheers

When the engine vibrates, do you see a "A Check Engine Soon" message on the dashboard? If yes, you need to know what the BMW diagnostic code says and go from there.

Engine vibration at idle and at any speed (mostly slow) with display of the "Check Engine Soon" message happened to my 2007 530xi yesterday. Went straight to nearest dealer ASAP. Paid $146 (Canadian) to read the code, and $383 (Canadian) for part and labor to replace the ignition coil. All done in 2 hours. Diagnostics said cylinder 4 misfired and that caused the engine vibration. New ignition coil fixed the shake. Was able to drive the car for 9 hours with 2 quick refueling stops from Brossard to Washington DC (average MPG: 24.0). Not a cheap fix, but it just works for me. BTWthe long drive was fun.

No lights come up. Just vibrates at idle, getting worse.
