My electric water pump is loud. You'll hear it whining, cycling, when the heater is turned on, after it warms up a little. I actually had them replace it, but I can still hear it. Just somewhat annoying. It's loud, like passengers ask what that whirring is.

....are you sure your car has an electric waterpump? ...i believe the new R6 3.0 is the first engine to get this

This happened to mine within the first weeks of ownership. Very odd, I shut down the car and in about 5 min. it was ok, never happened again. I did take it to my dealer who found nothing wrong.

I am told there is a supplemental water pump used for the heating system that is purely electrical. They replaced it once, so it's in there somewhere!
