Question Engine Oil Pressure Low

I have a 2005 545I. While driving last week my Engine oil pressure warning came on and it said continued driving was not possible. After stopping and checking oil level the car check control message said all systems ok and the warning was gone.

The car sounds like it always has and drove well. Two days ago the message reappeared.
I changed oil and filter. I started her up and for her warm up. The message was gone. After driving about 3 or 4 miles the warning reappeared and immediately went off and said all systems ok. After getting home the message reappeared and went off again. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Oil pressure switch is very likely malfunctioning.

Thank you pcy. I looked at the engine and I can't locate the oil sensor. I have the Bently manual with a picture of the sensor but I still cant find it. Can you direct me to a more informative picture. I see you are in Boston. I am in Westminster, Ma. and in Boston frequently. Can you direct me to a excellent mechanic in central Mass.

On a 545 engine, I believe oil pressure switch is kind of hidden behind the vaccum pump.

On my 530i (N52 engine) oil pressure switch is located on top of the engine right next to oil filter cap.

Thank you so much pcy. I finished changing the oil pressure and all I can say is "On The Road Again". She is running great.
