How do i check to see if i get an oil change from the dealer that they put in new oil???

You can't...

They could never change the oil and you wouldn't be able to tell however I think the potential long term damage to BMW and the individual dealer should they "fake" oil changes makes that highly unlikely.

But that is a good point if you tried to save some money and used a less than reputable shop.

I can't imagine a reputable dealer charging you for an oil change and not doing it.If you need to check for your own satisfaction, before you take the car for service, take off your oil filler cap and look at the state of the oil on it and around it and then wipe it clean. When you get the car back, look again, you will see a difference if new oil was put in the sump. However, that only applies to petrol engines,it's of no use with a diesel, the new oil is just as black after a short run.

HA! I can name a dealer who charged BMW NA for a set of microfilters and they didnt change mine... I found out after 2 weeks cuz it started to smell so i opened it to see and I found old filters in there. Needless to say I went back pretty upset.

You don't have a dipstick? I have an M54, i have a dipstick......i thought on the N52/N53 they have a dipstick in the rear of the engine compartment. Are you sure you dont have a dipstick?

You sure do have an engine oil dipstick. It's in the rear of the engine compartment on the drivers side. What you DON'T have is a tranyy oil dipstick.

Dipsticks are so over rated.
