Engine Oil?

Anybody recommend Royal purple or Motul racing oil? I am thinking about trying one of these out and would like to get someone's suggestion, I am looking to get a stronger running engine.

Had mine replaced with Redline Synthetic High performance between dealer intervals. It's about $10 a quart. a mechanic friend of mine uses it on his porcshe and BMW

got the error message too this am so how much oil shoul i put in???
