Engine noise need help please!!!

Need help with this noise the car is a 545. Someone said the noise comes from a bad AC clutch but not sure about it. Thanks in advance guys.

Hope not the internal parts. Maybe the tensioner or idler pulley or water pump. Check them first.

@best1 I don't know, this a car I'm buying and have this issue, I will check if the noise change w AC on.
In the case it does change, what could it be!

I had to replace the overhead camshaft in my 85 MB 190e at about 160k miles. The noise it was making at the time sounded awfully similar. I would be wary of purchasing this vehicle.

a rod knock would sound deeper and maybe louder. this sounds like a collapsed hydraulic lifter or loose valve rocker. something on the upper end valvetrain.
