The "Engine Malfunction - Reduced Power" warning light popped up today. It only appeared when I had my Velocity unit on and went away when it was off. The warning is now gone even with the Velocity unit on. I am concerned that continuing to drive with the Velocity on could cause some damage.

Does anyone have a similar experience with this warning light coming on due to the Velocity controller?

Velocity controller = Cruise Control?

velocity controller is another version of a sprint booster...but the velocity allow you to select the sensitivity of the throttle, you can even have it to stock when installed...

I've heard of that error message being thrown when a throttle switcher is installed (SB or velocity), but go away after some driving (driving, not starting, idle, and stopping...)

you could try the transmission reset trick...

***are you sure you installed the velocity correctly? also, how long have you had the velocity installed?

Gotcha, thanks. Sounds similar to the SB v.2.

I don't have velocity or sb and I am getting this warning. But along with the warning my transmission will lock in 3rd or 5th gear.
Nobody can tell me why it is happening but it scares the hell out of me thinking my transmission is going to blow up
