Hi Everyone... I just gave a quick feedback on the SPRINT BOOST GROUP BUY $245 thread, but wanted to give a heads-up here in case you aren't reading that thread. There is only one way to plug in the SB... You'll see what I mean when you get it. I didn't get any error messages or anomalies. I'm a newbie to all this and the install went smoothly this afternoon. Probably the most difficult part was trying to fit the SB plug next to the gas assembly to reinstall everything. Good luck to everyone... and I know you're gonna enjoy it!

most error messages are caused by bent pins. i would really check the pins and make sure they're all straight (even if its slightly bent).

alpinewhite,

Curious to know, what year 550i did you install it on?

Ok, thanks.

FYI: My Engine Malfunction.. warning never cleared itself (after 60+ miles) so I cleared it myself with a OBD-II Reset Tool and the car runs just fine. Also, I returned the SB for a refund... I'm still bummed that I wasn't able to use it--I'll get over it.

I drove the car for over 100 miles and the error message is still there. So I brought the car to the dealer and re-set it. In addition, the dealer also checked all related function and made sure the car runs fine.

It is simple plug and play and I just could not understand why it won't work. Even though one of the pin is bent, it will not allow the plugs fullly pluged in. I also returned the SB for refund. Too bad that it won't work as I really wanted it and the ECU flush just costs too much....

Did you guys get your SB's yet? Any install or engine malfunction problems like the ones described?

Sorry to hear the SB didn't work out. Maybe try a replacement? You're probably a bit gun shy now. Or maybe someone near you may have one that you can try. Where are you located?
