Just got it back? What did they do to "fix" it the first time? Check w/ GT Premi, he's had similar issues and they are now replacing the wiring harness to try and solve the issue. Also sounds like what Westcoast 550 had and his Canadian dealership swapped out his car for a new one.

Do a search for Westcoast550's posts, though his was a 550 as I recall. Don't know if that makes a difference in the problem. How old is the car? Maybe it is time to get BMWNA or BMW Canada involved as the dealer seems unable to resolve your issue. Might get you a new car like Westcoast550... Good luck!

Hmmm. A fair number of early 2008's came with defective High Pressure Fuel Pumps. Manufacturing/design issue with the supplier of those pumps. I also heard that some of the new injectors had design/mfr. issues. I believe those issues have been resolved now, but there are plenty of cars on the road that will experience eventual failure of those original parts.

How many times has the same problem happened, Usally in most states if the same problem occurs 3x you can legaly get the car Lemon lawed. You wold have to check with your own state b/c the laws differ. You may want to bring this up with BMW NA/USA. In Georgia/ AL the laws are simular, and when you get a new car they are required by law to give you the information and have you sign off that you have reicieved the info.

The big issue is if the problems have all been caused by the same issue.
I had a friend that got his new vet ( at time a early year C5) bought back by the dealer after 9 months after having replaced 4x new Ecus, new gas tank, fuel pump, 2x e brake cables, falty TPS. The dealer was required by law to give him back the full purchase price or a replacement car ( took the cash and got a Mustang).
