I started up my car tonight and i got this check engine sign on and the engine malfunction reduced power on my I Drive and then i turned off the engine and restarted the car again and drove it and then it disappeared. Anybody had this problem before? i have 60k on my car right now, should i bring it in for service have them look at it? any idea what can cause such problem? Computer glitch or major problem?

I had this same issue repeatedly with my 05 545. Dealer traced problem to valvetronic control unit which was replaced, but the warning light occasionally reappeared. It didn't seem to affect the power, so I would simply shut off restart the engine to get rid of the warning. Good luck with yours.
