My car was not down but I got the engine sign, and I-drive said emission warning/bring in for service. Car was functioning normally but dealer replaced faulty emissions sensor and cleared fault from computer.

My 2005 545 had this problem. Originally only slight shaking immediately before the error(s) was displayed. My Dealer traced it to a faulty DME (engine computer?). After the repair the car ran fine for 14 days but then the problem came back again. This time it was 50%-50% chance of constant shaking. Kind of good starts vs. bad starts. Engine malfunction and emission lights were on all the time even when the car ran fine (no shaking). It took my dealer 21 day to fix the problem. Do not know what was wrong second time though.
