I need help to diagnose this?
Here is a video of what my idle does once in 200-300 miles.
Sometime (once in 200-300 miles) I am having problems while diving with my 2006 bmw 525i. Often times when this occurs i put the car on neutral and i see the idle goes crazy (surge up and down between 500- 1000 rpm) it does not respond to the gas at all when it goes to this mode for no reason. Usually the car turns off itself. It starts right up and often times the car goes back to normal, but there is times that i have to try it starting and turning off the car few times or wait few minutes before start it back again to get the car respond to the gas pedal and it goes back to normal.
Since this problem has been occurring, transmission shifts funny at times.
There is no check engine light on or any other warning lights.
I took it to the dealer for diagnostics and they told me it has a bad Eccentric Shaft Sensor.
They believe so, because they found few fault codes that would not clear off from BMW computer
