I'd say no - assuming your car is operated under normal circumstances and receiving regular oil service with quality synthetics and original/factory filter changes.

I was thinking of having this done too to my 63000 mile 2004 545i.

(ps; Ellicit, I am now using your pic as my desktop background. Hope you don't mind. AWESOME PIC!)

I don't think it would hurt the car, but probably unneccessary unless you had a sludge problem for some reason. I may do it if I ever hit 120k. At that point I'm sure there is some level of dirt that it would help clean out. But until then, I just don't see the need with the great job that synthetic oil does in the crankcase.

I did to a couple of engine flushes on an old Jeep Grand Cherokee that had about 140k. That thing has about 230k now and the engine is still going strong. I gave it to my father, who since gave it to my niece. Jeep I6 engines run forever.

Excuse my ignorance, but now I'm confused. Are we talking flushing the Oil or the coolant?

I did a fuel injector cleaning service done by my dealership and the car felt way more responsive. I also gained some MPG from doing it.

FYI that was done at 65,000 miles. Spark plugs were changed with new ones at 50,000 miles.
