I rinsed my engine off this weekend and noticed a couple of things that I hadn't seen before.

1. The front left bolt for the cover was missing and the right one was a bit loose. After securing the one bolt left, I noticed the rear area of the cover didn't appear to have anything holding it down except the wire loom that runs across the car. I would think that at a minium there would be hooks if not two more bolts?

2. Next to my oil filter I noticed a threaded hole. Never noticed this before and I'm curious as to what would go here. I think as clean as it looked it must have had at least a cap/plug on it at some point.

Any ideas let me know.

Sorry for such a highly technical question that has seemed to stump about 85 + members here... Where are all the 535 owners?

that may be for attaching the hook for hoisting up the engine.

Thanks, I found out there are three screws for the cover. So I only need to know about the threaded hole. It just looks too clean to me...

I know, but it just strange that I haven't noticed it before and it looked so clean and shinny like something was covering it or actually in the hole. Ok, I feel better now.
