Ladies and Gents,

I had a great round trip this weekend in my car travelling just over 400 miles.

Yesterday the amber warning sign on my dash came on (it looks like the engine block) as I was out with the family. I thought it was to notify me the oil level was low. It turned out the management system has picked up a fault with the exhaust emissions. I had a look on my I-drive and it says exhuast emissions OK.

Can any one shed any light on this before I take it to the dealer. Of course my warenty ran out on the 27/09/07.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

In my owners manual, the text related to this light (the Service Engine Soon) says to check the fuel filler cap. I usually remove and re-tighten it. There is also a thread on the forum that talks about the rubber seal on the fuel filler cap degrading and causing the problem.
