Perfect! Just what I needed!

Can you make a DIY, and what did you use to hold the cup tight? Where can I get it? If it expensive? Will it work? How long did it take you? Have you noticed any changes in the AC? (the tape is covering the vent), oh yea and will this void my warranty?

Sorry for all the questions, I am just really excited about this, my cup holder is broken and I have been waiting on someone to make a DIY.

Thanks!!

A complete DIY would be very helpful. I just completed my installation of the radical cup holder design and I believe the outside temperature was too cold. The tape did not have good adhesion. What is the lowest recommended outside temperature you recommend in order to still have a successful mod? It might be a similar temp when you secure a rear spoiler? 50F. What brand of tape, length, etc.??

I love your "Nascar" fix, I'm forever using Duct tape around the house to fix all kinds of odd things!

It hurts me to think of what was left when you pulled off the tape.

Does the car have to be reprogrammed after this retrofit?

Yes, I thought the same: this tape leaves marks...

Hope you have already patented it... these BMW engineers might copy it.. (At least they see this discussion and make sure the future car's cup holders are designed better)
