My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny. 2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter. Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

Earlier there was a post asking for suggestions on how to install a cup holder and whether they should cut a hole through the dashboard. As a public service to my fellow bimmerheads, I have devised a solution that I hope will take care of the need to add or replace cup holders without resorting to drastic measures such as cutting a hole through the dashboard. Let me know if I should write a DIY. Maybe we should make this post sticky:

My Ride: 525d M-Sport/ Built Aug 2008 so its the face lifted model! 18" M-Sport alloys/ black leather/ silver paint/ standard car, no modifications/ bamboo anthracite interior/ another great example of perfect German engineering!
