Hello people. Is there any way you can activate the electric folding mirrors off the alram remote. So:
unlock - mirrors open
lock - mirrors close
I know there was a way of doing it on the E46 M3 and the E CLASS merc does it. I have another month before i collect my car so was hoping i could pass the info on to my salesman so he could do it for me before i collect the car.
Is there any disadvantages to doing this?
Also, is there a link for me to find the list for E60 programmable options on the key. I remember on my previous M3 they produced a list of options i could have.
I thank you in advance.

Hi and welcome aboard.
You can have the following programmed by the dealer (and only by the dealer):
When you press the lock button on your key and hold it down instead of releasing it immediately the mirrors fold. When they start folding you can let the button go... When you then open the car with your key by pressing the unlock button the mirrors unfold.
But if you don't have folding mirrors, this feature doesn't work, of course.

The car will get connected to your dealers computer, the tech will enable the function, done. Takes about five minutes, if he has done it before it can be done in two minutes.
