anyone tried using an EGR bypass kit on their diesel e60s?

No personal experience.
If you go for it, don't forget to disable the EGR by reprogramming.

right. if not then some lights show up on the dash?
maybe its worth just keeping the one thats already in and just have it closed all the time? no coding for that right?

Coding is needed. I know some people have tried just to block the EGR and they ended up with an error message.

hmm so if you just block the small pipe with the gases, and not the valve that opens/closes you still get an error?
perhaps the people who have done that were on an e39
