Took an LCI 530d auto out for a test drive the other day. I noticed that the engine did not stop at traffic lights. I'm sure as part of ED the engine stops after a few seconds of idling and comes back on soon as you do something to accelerate the car again. Is this just for manual cars? What do you need to do to do it in an auto? I tried everything, putting it into Park, Neutral, foot brake on/off, hand brake on/off. Am I missing a trick?
TIA

Not on autos at the moment. Also only on 4 cyclinder engines anyway.

Its on the MINI too. at the stop light when in neutral it'll shut down the engine and once you engage the clutch again it'll start the car back up again.
