Efficent Dynamics E60
Hi All,
I am glad to be on board of this forum. I am thinking of buying a late model 09 E60 520D. Just wondering this model does have Brake energy regerneration & Air vent control?.
One of the sales reps told me that they both available on the NON M sport package.
Anyone can confirm this?. I can't seem to find any information about this.
Cheers,
PK

Yes it will have both. All cars built from March 07 have efficient dynamics although the 520d engine didn't get upgraded to the later unit until Sept of that year. SE models have brake cooling flaps and engine radiator grills to warm the car up quicker, neither of these were fitted to M-Sport models though.
Thansk for the reply. You saying 520d didn't get the upgrade until Sept 07?. What are the SE models?

No it got the LCI refresh which introduced ED the same time as the rest of the range. The 520d engine was upgraded in Sept though to a more powerfull unit.
There are three versions of the E60, the SE which is more of a cruising comfortable car (looks a bit boring has no body kit or sports seats etc), the M-Sport which is for the more sporting driver and looks better IMO and finally the monster that I's the M5.

Its very similar to the F10s ED except they have now included stop/start on the manual 4cyl models which wasn't available on the E60 due to the technology in the car being to old.
