Just curious... My newly acquired, but second hand E60 has a build date according to the hidden menus in the i-drive of May 03. a somewhat dubious honour, but this seems to make my E60 (a 530D) one of the earliest I have seen discussed here.
Anyone better that?

The first ones should be early 02's. But since the official introduction/release was July 5th, 2003, yours is definately one of the cars the guys at the Dingolfing plant got to find and report the bugs. So it was driven by an BMW employee who works in Dingolfing, I assume.

I paid approximately 27,400 pounds sterling.
Car details as follows:
530D SE
Sunroof, cd changer, service inclusive, PDC (standard on these ones), bluetooth, beige dakota leather.
8,500 miles on the clock. 53 plate - actually registered 11/03.
So, despite being built in May 03, it wasn't registered in the UK until Nov 03. I assumed that they were just stockpiling them back in May in preparation for the Sept launch. ?
