E60s in hot climates

I know some makes do have special components for Middle Eastern climates. Land Rover and the `Saudi' grill come to mind. But this is a minor change to allow more air into the engine and I haven't seen it offered in the US, AU or other 'semi hot' market. I've never known BMW to do this other than maybe a different thermostat for the engine. Cold climates as we know do get some minor changes.
