The 2008 JD Power APEAL Study is out today ... this one measures owner delight with the design, content, layout and performance of their new vehicles (not initial quality).

The 5 series ranks highest in the Midsize Premium Car segment over the Mercedes Benz E-Class and the Audi A6.

BMW ranks 3rd overall (out of 36 brands) behind Porsche and Jaguar, and tied with MB.

Well done BMW and our beloved E60!

I had a Jaguar and it was terrible. That doesn't say much for the veracity of this survey.

The worst "luxury" car I have ever driven is the Jaguar. A mule.

We'd be number 1 if they engineered some dam cup holders!

+1 about the cup holder, but is it just me or is the cup holder for the driver does not holds down the drink but seem to sort of pops it out?

+1 on cupholders. My wife has an X3, and busted my chops about my 530's cupholders. She loves the car, hates the cupholders.
