The brochure is already here in Singapore and I got a copy from the Sales Rep. I should think the price is about $240k, give or take.

But if the 535 is a reality, and if it makes it to Singapore, that would be something to look forward to since 540/550 is not possible to get here.

Then again, if 535 does make it here, it will have quite a short lifespan left before the next generation 5 series is out. Guess the best of the options is still the 335. New engine, new gear and new body all in one.
I chanced upon Vincent Lee at PML Alexandra today. He's the one who will propose to the bosses what car to bring in.

The 325 Coupe will be brought in later this year. They are debating whether the 330 or 335 will attract more customers. Only ONE model will be imported next year because there will be a clash in engine config and it does not make economical sense for PML to bring both in. Same goes for the 535 versus the 530. One thing for sure; if the 335 doesn't make it into Singapore, then the 535 will definitely not come. BTW, the 3 litre engines have again been upgraded. The new engines which will be fitted into the Z4, 330 coupe and facelifted 530 will produce 265hp at 6600rpm. The torque will be 315Nm @ 2750 rpm.

Some good news for enthusiasts!!! PML is now checking with both Germany and Australia regarding the M Experience. Germany is definitely a little laid back right now because of the World Cup and has not been forthcoming with info. Australia is very keen to have us. Vincent who is also now the chief trainer will be sending out questionaires to M owners their preferences regarding programmes. Unfortunately non-M owners will not be considered yet, but you never know. Looks like Marcus and I will be part of that party should it happen!!!

Hi lmk

Is this the same Ah Long who can repair scratched rim too? Today when driving into the office carpark, blur blur hit the curb for no reason! Sian leow!

Just want to inform you guys who took delivery of your cars around March in case you encountered the same problem. Recently I had a fault with my traction control and had to send in for replacement of certain parts located on the steering column. Asked around and this happened to 2 of my colleagues who got their cars around the same time. Seems this fault is rather systematic where it surface after about 2 months of driving. When this happens, there will be a fault message, your traction control will not be working, and your steering will feels funny. i.e unusually heavy when you turn. According to PML, you should not push your car too hard when cornering, else it is "safe" to drive. Cannot understand why PML or BMW did not issue a recall as this seems to be a general problem and obviously pose a safety concern!

Theoritically, it is quite straight forward right? i.e to measure a shorter distance between two point. I wonder how accurate this could be.

Just have this wild thought if there is a simple device something like the Nuvi in the golf course. I can know the exact distance between my ball and the pin..wow..what does that mean? BZSAB, please take your Nuvi to the course and try out!!

To give an example, my home club at Orchid Country Club used to have a GPS installed in all their buggies (first in S'pore). This GPS give accurate distance between the ball and the pin in the green (don't have to point). They charge $10+ more per golfer for this extra facility. Later, they scrapped this GPS facility citing high maintenance cost??

So if someone can come out with a simple and cost effective gadget for this application (definitely more simple than the Nuvi) and can be used in various golf courses, I am very sure there is a big market for it.
I think you will need a MAP of OCC before you are able to find the correct distance to the PIN. Finding your location is simple and the nuvi will do that. But to find your distance to the PIN (and PIN placements differs from day to day) will the MAP of OCC and PIN placement details. I am sure OCC has the MAPs but I am also equally sure they will not let you have access; otherwise how are they gonna achieve pay-back for their investments?

There are other alternatives though! You can buy a binocular-like gadget which will give you pretty accurate distance reading. Just aim the gadget to your intended target and the distance will be displayed. OK now you know the distance and direction...... you need a way to persuade the ball to go where you want it to go! If you can find a way, let me know..Kekekeke

The Nuvi bluetooth is really good, handsfree is clear and the address book synch is so much easier than the BMW! Unbelieveable for such a small gadget...you guys like the 3D map?
Yes! The nuvi bt is pretty good! Especially today when my phone decides to konk off on me. Display on my phone died and there is no way I can navigate (i.e. dial and see numbers). Until I get the phone repaired or get another phone, I am using the nuvi. Only thing is, I cant SMS...

check with him, the last time was only my door got dented. very good job i have to say. there are some differences between the paint used by BMW and outside spray job. Outside, they use alcohol based paint which is easy to match the original colour even if the other parts is faded or worn. Water based paint is more difficult to match therefore you may not get the same and results after painting. I believe PML is using the water based paint thus the finish is not as good becasue in BMW, nanotechnology is used for measuring the coloour tone and PML does not have this for after sales market. Some of us experienced the peeling of paint from the interior plastic parts. This is mainly due to the water based paint used, it does not last. Bring it back and have it change under warranty. All this for the cause of environment. All is not lost, water based paint is very convenient to use for patch job actually, they need not paint the whole panel like in alcohol based, they only need to spray on the affected parts.
i learn this from a person who supply paint to manufacturers, not my knowlegde though.
