SATAY RUN
Just spoke with a friend of mine who returned from Genting yesterday NIGHT!!! Left Genting at 10am in the morning and arrived home at 8pm in the night. Traffic slowed to a crawl at certain parts of the N/S highway. He reached the second link at 5pm yesterday evening and there was a massive jam at the Singapore customs. Seems plenty of Singapore cars going over for very short holidays and our security checks there has been stepped up.
We're talking about driving easily 750 - 800 Km with only 1 hour rest in between. Do consider the safety aspect of this trip and of course delays, etc. I'm just being the devil's advocate and whatever is decided in the end, I will be counted in, but Fireplace and friends, please consider the fatigue factor, distance and traffic conditions before we go ahead for such a long journey. Might I suggest halfing the trip?

I heard a lot about Health Land but never been there so far. Try The King and I at Sukhumvit Soi 12. This one is not bad and quite popular. Suggest you call to book 2 ~3 hrs before going. Tel Number +6626530700. I usually go for the Royal Thai massage 1000 baht for 2 hrs. Only a handfull of massueses are specially trained to do this Royal Thai massage and therefore you have to book in advance. If you are bringing your wife, there are many other spa services.

he said that other than PS2 and/or Goodyear F1-D3 is higly recommended for our rides, he suggested to me to take a look at the Dunlop Sport maxx. I have not tried it myself, but i am checking on prices, what sizes you need?

I'm ok with that. From here to malacca and back would be sufficient to clear any carbon. There are indeed more road works further up after malacca and that would be much risky to stay in convoy. Not to mention the small stones that would be on the road that would be kicked up from the car in front. Maybe some nails and all that too.
We could always discuss it when we meet up at raffles marina at this sunday.
