Just tell them you are a Doctor...and you took the Hipocratic Oath...and belong the the upper echelon of the society...and therefore they should trust you...

My order also ran into problems... after almost 3 days (of anguish and eternal waiting)... my order status still shows 5 days... and they are "retrieving the stock from their warehouse" when a fresh order page still shows "immediate stock availability"... I have called their HK and UK hotlines and sent them a couple of emails... and still no updates...

Maybe they are indeed swamped with orders from the E60 forum members! :'(

errrrr .........i not a "doctor" lei.

if i cancel order any penalty?? i might get my relative to buy direct from hk and send it over that way super fast...

Wing flaps must order from me. Manufacturer currently studying the aerodynamics of the coupe before they can come up with proper specs.

BTW, here are the instructions for self-import - for those who are interested.

Ed, some of us are keen to import from the factory... would you be keen to be the freightforwarder?

With the USD at all time low of 1.5750 and COE at a mere $11K, and the high margin (and high handedness) of PML in importing niche cars (read: Z4, 6 series, M series), I personally want to get the new Z4 from the Spartanburg factory (which is the only manufacturing facility for Z4 and X5)...

But the paper work in the 18 page LTA guide is pretty daunting... would going to a good repute PI save all the trouble with minimal costs?

What's your recommendation on our next step?

I am just thinking that if we found a way to get this right, it will bring the costs of such models down for the general public as PML would fight back.... so its good news for future generations...

Importing cars from USA may be a problem. From what I hear, the V308 form is only obtainable from the EU or most likely UK in particular. You will not be able to obtain this certification from the USA. Unless anyone here has any insight into importing from the US, I think its best to shelf that idea for now.

Europe or UK is another deal. It is so much easier to import from the UK because our system is very close to theirs and our LTA accepts that cars imported via there follow our restrictions.

The Z4 is a fast aging car. Why not look at something else? I know there is a red M5 bearing the number plate 88 running around in the East. It is a self import. The owner even imported his previous M3. How about the 335i or 330i coupe or maybe even the upcoming M3?

my credit card co asked me not to send such info over,if the details gets into the wrong hands then they will not be liable for any other transactions incurred.now i dont know what do do?

dont feel like giving my credit card no and signature on back lei some more ask for photo.like that they can make purchases. a very easy fraud.

egss are your a british passport holder like me???

do i cancel off the order and ask some one to buy direct from hk expansys..sigh.

sflx33..are you sure you never receive this email request....why you different and so honoured?

eggs are you going to release your info.
Hi 1628,

nope I'm a true blue Singaporean I've sent info on my credit card to other companies, no problems so far.

I'll be sending giving my credit card info to expansys, I think they're OK, I've sent the same info to much smaller HK companies in the past.

Absolutely. For safety reasons, manufacturers need to make sure that their wings can flap optimally on the new coupe. Otherwise the drivers will not have the confidence to maximize the potential of their cars.

Ed, I heard that your wing flaps are one of the best in the world. I'm keen to take a look at its specs this Saturday.

How much would you think the 335i coupe would cost on the road here by self import..? Did BMWAsia had to honor the M5's warranty? Thanks!
