yup, the cover can be closed when you remove the iPod. You can use it with the aux-in.
most of us engage our regular installer to do it.
his contact: 93369580 Ah Boa
just tell him Lai refer you to him.
he charges reasonably.

how much would it cost and where is the workshop? i.e. Ah Boa will fix the AUX and have it routed to the cigarette lighter compartment, together with the iPod Cradle? do I need to buy the cradle myself or he would supply? How long it takes? Very keen to do it... but mine is a stock car... can it be done? thanks!

The workshop potentially can be your home.

But AUX needs to be installed by PML. iPod cradle you probably have to buy yourself unless he can help you buy.

Is that why Ed always complains and sends his cars in?

Guys,
I am keen on doing the ICE mod using the new Intel-based Macmini with Mobycars in Singapore. They have never done an E60 but had experience on E46 and E90.
What are the pitfalls I should be aware of? I was quoted a baseline price of $5K+ which should include the hardware, GPS maps, bluetooth....
Thanks!

Bug, $5K for you who tinkers with the setup yourself is of course not worth it lah. But my opinion is they probably make close to 50% GPM.
