how's the 523i? issit enough to run on the highway? i mean the power.
And yes, Tom_ting. The 523 is good enough for highway but don't expect to do sudden bursts in that car. I'm sure youll have no problems hitting 230Km/h. Even my E46 320 does that. Most importantly, it feels stable at that speed. At the end of the day, its what you're looking for in your car; torque or comfort.
Anyone read the article in BMW-SG about the very irresponsible Asian Aerospace driver/s zooming away in brand new BMWs? I hope none of our members here bought such a car.

Hi all
This is a fantastic tread. I have been reading the posts for the last few days and there is simply so much information here. Thanks!
I noticed there is mention of the car sliding backwards when starting it on a slope. Has this problem been addressed by BMW? Someone mentioned of a "slope start brake assist" in the new model year car. Is this true?
Thanks

Regarding the slide back, I have noticed that if you step on the brake again, the car will hold it there. Or, if you are in manual, you must shift to M1 if the slope is steep. With M2, the car will definitely slide backwards.

In the first place, you can't start the car without depressing the brakes. Do you actually mean starting off as in driving off?
