I don't think the Idrive on the E60 has this function, but you can unlock the OBC (on board computer) and monitor the actual water temperature. The OBC is the display between the tach and speedo. You need to figure out the unlock code based on the last few digits of your VIN number. If you search this forum, there is a writeup somewhere on the exact method and the test number that relates to water temp. I can't remember where I read it, or I would provide you with a link.

Regarding the weather band.
I have a replacement CCC it's from states. Weatherband is included only in US versions. It can be accessed through the coding.
If you search new.tis and just write down CCC in search field. It will show more detailed info regarding country specific versions and all that.
