I have an 08 BMW 535i. The seat belt light appears to have a mind of it's own. It goes off for no reason or another with no one sitting in the seat. Has anyone else having problems with their E60?
Thanks, Ed

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.
Mine was on the other day and no one was in the seat, but there were a few small things in the seat. Nothing of any weight though... I need to have another look because the sensor will detect weight. I think the light should not be on if the seat is empty and should be on if a certain weight in the seat is not enough, indicating possibly a small child...

There was noting in the seat. It does this quite often. I can hit the seat with my fist and the light and chime goes off. I read on another thread that there was some kind of a recall but I might have read it wrong. This is one of the few things that is getting really irritating with the car. The A/C takes a long time to come on when first started. I can sometimes drive 8 miles before it comes on. BMW service told me there was a bullitin on it from BMW that said this was normal and no fix was recommended. Once it comes on the first time it works perfectly the rest of the day. The car is black and it blows hot air that will burn your eyes. This car is beginning to give me a bad taste.
