E60 Rough idle when stopping
Does anyone ever come out with a fix on the E60 for the rough idle when stopping at a light or completely park. It is very annoying. I already change spark plugs filters, techron fuel injector cleaner 3 bottles of 12oz disconnect battery few times overnight clean the throtle and the MAF sensors and just it seems that it’s getting worse I been reading and reading the forums but no one seems to find a solution, I should receive in two days the BMW USB OBD Frogman v41 Package DIS SSS NCSExpert INPA EDIABAS to diagnose the car (2008, 528i), I do not know how but I will try to figure it out or I will be asking for your help too.

good luck with the software installation and diagnosis.
I was thinking what is a 'Frogman' :-) You meant progman. IMHO, progman is complicated... it doesn't come with manual.
If it's only for diagnosis and battery registration and trans adaptation values reset and things like that, you only need to install INPA and EDIABAS. NCSexpert is for coding. It's not that difficult, but you can screw up the car if you are not careful.

There is a tsb that involves replacing the exhaust hanger mounted at the transmission mount. The hanger creates a rough idle feeling and also sometimes a noise in the car.
Old engine mounts can also create a rough idle feeling. In the last month I have done 2 sets of mounts on E60s for a rough idle feeling.

My car idle is about 700 and 600 but as soon I stop it does a vooow! for about 5 seconds and iddle drops a bit and car shakes too then it goes away for another 5 seconds and then it comes back again. I just request a return autorization for the sofware and will take the car to dealer instead.

Does all of you have automatic transmission? I probably feel something similar like you describing here in my 530iA (2006) - very often when I stop with "D", the car vibrate a bit in short waves. Idle moves like +/- 50rpm around 600. When I change gear to N or P - vibrating dissapear. So I got feeling it has something to do with transmission, I mean maybe mounting of transmission to body or something like that. Does anyone has similar experiencies?
PS: I bet increasing of idle to e.g. 750 will solve it. But I'm curious...
