I did not know that the 5 was having a low pressure pump.
Only Dingolfing seems to be affected but why are they closing next week if Bosch supplies is able to supply pumps without problems from yesterday.

they now need to get enough pumps from Bosch to rectify the cars at the plant ( which is a big number) aswell as cars already sent out, and the other manufacturers are also needing pumps, so Bosch needs a while to make enough.
You will find they will also do some other non-scheduled maintenance to the plant while they can.
The low pressure pump is in the fuel tank, the high pressure pump is by the engine ( on the diesels )

Conversation tonight with my salesman: car is still in 152 status since the beginning of the week.
Does it mean that they stored the body painted or is the chain stoped.
Press releases says that they are stopping the whole next week. It get mad...
Can our German friends help us in supplying infos?
Can our American friend provide us infos on the evolution of their own car through their tracking system?

AFAIK, they planned on starting the production again on Wednesday, but then decided to do it on Monday next week.
The affected part is coming from Bosch, and they said that they will deliver the new, correct parts on Wednesday. So BMW should allready have the first parts and should be bale to re-start the production on Monday.
I have not heard yet, that the production will be stopped for another week.

I thinck we are both telling the same thing: production should restart Monday next week: Feb 14.
