My Ride: 07 E61 530d M-Sport.
I have seen some cars being sold with delivery mileage only and unregistered that were 2005 cars that have been brought over form the middle east where they have just sat in storage. Dont know if that the same for motorpoint but the ones they are selling are not LCI so pre 2007 at the earliest.
I got a great discount on my car from BMW in Jan 2008. It was an ex BMW managament car, they run a massive fleet of these every year to be able to sell them on the dealer network as second hand(the reg will always start with a Y which is a good giveaway). It is the car in my sig and had a list price of ?47500 when new I got it at 8 months old with 2230miles on it and saved ?14500 off the new price.

Hi,
Trying to get a good deal on a BMW 520d SE Auto at the moment.
Requirement is one with low miles and ideally late 2008 reg - so 2nd hand no problem.
I've scouted BMW.co.uk, with most appearing to cost 25, 26k with 1 lower at 24k (now sold) -nearly all have Bus Nav & Leather
Thing is, I've been on drivethedeal and you can get brand new ones from stock now for 23-25k depending on spec.
This maybe a new thing as it seems BMW are offering ?2000 discounts for stuff from stock (is this very recent?) - these are cheaper than the bmw used cars but the dealers I've spoken to don't appear to want to discount their used car stock accordingly.
Thoughts? With the new F10 around the corner as well, I guess waiting for the impact of the new discounts to hit 2nd hand cars harder maybe the way to go?
Cheers
J

Supplying dealer of my first car (robert Stern BMW- Worcester) very lethargic on efforts to sell me another vehicle......
....so I decided to go broker route on my new LCI 535d last March - not dissapointed, serious discount wedge from UK NEW CARS www.uknewcars.com
Completely Painless experience - dealer contacted me within 36 Hours of initial order - WOLLASTON Northampton.
Late changes to my order spec handled efficiently and agreed discount applied to extra invoice items (ie I didn't have to ask....)
Experience persuaded me to purchase our company van through a broker aswell.........excellent deal, people with manners and faultfree handover...
PS why didn't I buy cars like this before...?

Had my 520d SE delivered just over a week ago. Our company uses a broker and I went to our local dealership to get a quote as well. The local dealership was within ?15 of the broker without any negotiation (both over ?3,500 off BMW 'list') and at or around Broadspeed prices. In the end the company got it from the broker (not my choice) as they offer us some payment terms as well. Car came from Ocean Falmouth and delivered to near Lowestoft - over 400 miles. Madness. I think with a bit of negotiation we could have got more off the price from the local dealership.

Hi Guys,
New member here, I'm looking at importing a 2008 520D LCI ED M Sport Manual into Ireland from the UK at some point this year.
I need something with at least 6000 miles on it or else I've got to pay Irish VAT on it aswell (on top of about 5K Euro in other taxes ) so I'd be looking at a true 2nd hand model rather than something that is "new old stock" as it were.
Any tips on where to look & how much I'd be looking at paying?
Thanks,
Fionn.

The guy I dealt with is called Jason. I would highly recommend him/them. Consequently, he told me he ships cars to Ireland also!! They have a lot of high end marques. Give them a call.

i got mine from a car supermarket ... it was considerably less and I have had no problems with it so far so have been ok on that front. the after sales service was totally pants from the car supermarket though and i felt like I owned a fiat or something. If money wasnt such a big issue, i would get from the stealer even if it does cost somewhat more than average market price. This is for peace of mind, warranty and decent after sales.
