Oh, OK-

Yeah, I did some searching, and the folks on the Motor Trend board, when discussing the LS, were about 80% saying "Stay away" and 20% saying they were bulletproof and reliable.

Someone has one at my job, and it is beautiful- very well kept, LS8.

Nice enough t make me say, Hmmm....

Motor Trend was saying the Lincoln LS was "the" sporty US sedan in America until the Chrysler 300 C debuted.

And the Chrysler 300 is a piece of crap, not to mention (literally) everyone AND their mother has one. Me? I like being able to find my car in the parking lot. Go with the 7 series

True story:
Before we got married my wife and I were considering getting a Cadillac Escalade as the "family car". Until the day after we got married, as we were leaving the hotel what was parked in the front row of the hotel parking lot? 11 Cadillac Escalades in all sorts of colors. That completely turned us both off and she ended up getting the Infiniti QX56 and I got the Jeep SRT8.

Go CPO 550. I have driven the V8 Lincoln LS and it is not in the same class, either performance-wise or fit and finish-wise as the 550.
+1 CPO 550i FTW!! This one is immaculate and priced very well! https://5series.net/forums/index.php?s=&amp...t&p=1042295

Yep, the way those new Escalades are selling, you'd have a tough time believing they are north of 60K, and the average, well-equipmed Escalade is $70K. Base is $54...
As for the 300C, I haven't ruled it out completely, but you're right- I may see 30 BMW's (mostly5's) on my way to work, but if I see 30 BMW's, I probably see sixty 300/Charger/Magnum's...

Good news for Chrysler- but not good if you want to be different.

The 300 won several awards in the automotive press, even rating higher than the E class Mercedes it's loosely based upon, in terms of fit & finish, and reliability... What warrant's the "crap"diagnosis of it?
