Well, as you know, we have an E60. I've driven my friends 745Li, and that big beast moves with authority. I imagine the performance increase is exponential stuff the same engine into the smaller, lighter, and possibly more aerodymanic 545 and the later 550. So, I am considering that too.

But, what I'm looking for is a V8 (or powerful 6 cylinder), and the LS is on my hit list now as well.. What do you guys & gals think about the Lincoln LS?

I'm considering all options for my upcoming lease-end on my 2007-Edge. Of course,a 2002 - 2004 745Li is highest on my "wish" list (if one is available at the right price).

I test-drove an LS V-8, back in 2000, and it was very nice- handled- well, like a BMW- flat, and stable. Has anyone here had one? What were your thoughts?

I'm not opposed to another E60, but not sure if I want two of the same car- nice though they may be.

Go CPO 550. I have driven the V8 Lincoln LS and it is not in the same class, either performance-wise or fit and finish-wise as the 550.

Wait ....... I thought You were joking until I reached the end of the post and saw no smileys.

Please, open those pictures again and look real closely. Are you sure you want to be seen riding in one of those? Ive just had a couple of beers and STILL wouldn't drive that.

When yous said LS, I assumed the Lexus LS and thought to myself, yeah, why not. But a Lincoln? I don't know man

Dude, if you are going to shop the Ford brand, then I would look at the SHO and save yourself a ton of cash.

Better yet, skip Ford, go for the 7 series. I will be looking at a few this weekend for the wife. Just say not to any Ford product that doesn't start with an "F" - trucks good, cars crap.

Oh, OK-

Yeah, I did some searching, and the folks on the Motor Trend board, when discussing the LS, were about 80% saying "Stay away" and 20% saying they were bulletproof and reliable.

Someone has one at my job, and it is beautiful- very well kept, LS8.

Nice enough t make me say, Hmmm....

Motor Trend was saying the Lincoln LS was "the" sporty US sedan in America until the Chrysler 300 C debuted.
