Sorry for your loss, i would say definitely the 6 series. Are you going to part out the e60?

I'm afraid not, the insurance company already took the whole car as scrap for compensation of my total loss. I already read the review of Jeremy Clarkson on the new 6 on 6post.com... It's such a total turn off when he criticized the shit out of that car

Yeah but thats just one opinion, i would say a day at the dealership driving both models would definitely help you out in your decision. and if the salesman's knuckles arent white when you return from your test drive then you didnt drive it hard enough.

As much as I love Top Gear and Clarkson's wit, he always bashes everything German. Seen the one where he smashes a 911? He raves about (traditionally) British marques like Jags and Aston Martin giving them a pass on every little thing, so it's pretty obvious he has his bias's. He is just one man, not auto czar of the world, so think for yourself.

Although I typically retain a 'bigger is better' philosophy in the automotive world, I second the M3 vote. A bi-turbo 6cyl makes me sleepy just thinking about it. Having one of the last V8's in that model line would mean you have an instant classic/collectible car on your hands (I wonder if the rumors of the 3er becoming the 4er are true).

The 6 series is a work of art in convertible form, but beyond bland in its new coupe outfit. I can't explain it, just doesn't work for me. If I were in the market for a vehicle of this caliber I would opt for the new CLS as someone also said in this thread.

Have fun either way, sorry about the totaling of your E60 - but it's reassuring to see it kept you safe, that's all any decent car ultimately wants to do with its life...
