Hi, car is an 04 525i, the battery has drained a couple of times randomly over the past few months, so suspect the IBS is faulty. Been putting off sorting it, however the alarm has now gone off for the past two nights and the neighbours are p#ssed off. This morning I unclipped the IBS sensor after watching a youtube video on the subject. Is there any way to disable the alarm in case this doesn't work? If it goes off again tonight I'll end up with an ASBO(!) I know the double click of the lock button on the fob disables the motion & tilt sensors,and I will also try locking it with the key instead of pressing the button, but need a way of stopping the alarm going off due to low battery voltage. Is there a fuse that can be removed or can the siren be disconnected? Not too bothered about a flat battery, just need the alarm to stay silent! thanks

Why not just disconnect the battery each night until your problem is resolved.

Solved! Took the alarm fuse out, disconnected the IBS wire and car has been fine since.
