Default E60 M5 CCC questions

I'm new to this forum, and like many new members basically signed up because I need help...I have a 2006 M5 that I am getting ready to sell...after replacing the clutch/flywheel a couple weeks ago and setting my detail appointment for this week, yesterday the Idrive screen started to reboot over and over again...After reading up on this, I see its a quite common issue..I tried the three finger forced reboot (mute, cd, dvd eject) and that did work once...today it went out and stayed out. I'm hoping it comes back on so I can at least quickly eject the nav dvd....Anyway to my question---

1)what is the best route to fix---refurbished from BMW south Atlanta or the likes for around $900
2) ebay no guarantee for around $600--
3) I can remove old unit and instal new unit myself---
4) does anybody know of indys in columbus that can reprogram correctly?
5) I see at least 5 different part numbers for the ccc unit--it looks like they keep superceeding the part number--why is this? The part I think it is is 65839123088
6) on my window sticker it says I have a "premium sound system w/ DSP--does this matter--I also have satellite radio--does that matter

As I stated earlier--I'm getting ready to sell the beast (twin daughters getting licenses and the Beast must go)--so looking to do the right fix, but at best value as we all know the resale on these aren't the best....Thanks for all who reply

The part numbers do supersede each other as you said. If you find a used one try and get the newest model of course but any of them will work.
