E60 M-ASK to CCC conversion
hey guys,
i have an 2005 e60 and I'm thinking about swapping a CCC unit instead of the M-ASK that it has. i already have another 2008 e60 with the the CCC system so I was planning on swapping the systems since I'm not keeping the other one. has anyone done this conversion before? and if yes, do you know the process that i will have to go throw, i think i can do it on my own since i have the needed tools and computers( GT-1, NCSexpert...etc) and i usually do my modifications on my own.
PS: i was planning on replacing the key fob system too since the one I'm keeping has a diamond key( and know, I wont sell the 2005 and keep the 2008 since the 2005 has way more options and modifications than the 2008), if anyone knows this process too, please back me up with the needed info.
thanks in advance!

Thanks alot it has been a massive help... another quick question.. I know my GT1 wouldnt work for encoding the CCC, might sound silly but... can NCS do the job(haven't tried such stuff on it)? Or should I just save it and take it to ths dealer for encoding?

Yes, NCS is suitable for the job but you need to use WinKPF in order to change the VIN number in the CCC unit (I think this can be skipped but it might give you some troubles and there will be fault codes).
Despite WinKPF the NCS job is fairly easy.
1. You need to remove the old business navigation from the VO.
2. Add the Professional nav option (I think it was $609).
3. Use job FA_WRITE in both CAS and LMA to write the new vehicle order.
4. Recode the whole car. This would recode all modules to their factory setting but it will consider the new VO, in your case the newly added $609.

Hi
If you now have the "littel" navigation Business ( only arrow discribtion ) remember to delete the S606A in the car's FA-list elsway you will get into problems when coding !
