E60 lci rear welcome light bulb
Hi Guys,
sorry for stupid question but I want to upgrade my rear welcome light do LED, but I don’t know where the bulb is? I took the rear light module out and I removed all three bulbs but when I lit it back in the welcome light still lights up? Is that right ?

If I'm understanding correctly, aren't your welcome lights already LEDs? For my E61, the "welcome lights" are just the normal rear lights that are on when I turn on the headlights switch and those bars that light up are tubes connected to LEDs.

Sorry, I didn’t know those tubes are LEDs … but where is the LED bulb located for them ??

There is no LED bulb, there is a small circuit board with LEDs soldered onto it and the tubes go over top of these LEDs to direct the light. They are not user-serviceable. You would have to remove the circuit board (I believe you have to cut open the light to get to it) and unsolder the tiny LEDs to replace them individually.
