Question E60 LCI digital speedo on idrive

Hello, on my I drive next to mpg, distance etc I have a digital speedo which when reset works fine for few seconds and then just shows wrong numbers, eg, 30mph at around 5mph or 20mph at 60mph. any cure for this?

That's not a digital speedometer, it's average speed since last reset. Digital speedometer can be coded to be shown on the instrument cluster though.

Ah silly me, thanks for pointing that out. Also saw on friends m3 today that welcome light turns on xenons aswell, is that something that requires coding aswell? For mine only halos come up and I am guessing the guy before me had done some coding with the key as I can open all windows with it. :s

I'm not sure about the welcome lights but the windows open and close with the fob is normal in your part of the world. In the US we would have to get windows close by key fob coded.

digital speedo shows "V = Xmph", for velocity presumably.

Needs coding to be enabled - I've coded my xenons as welcomes lights in the past as well as rear indicators haha, works well.

I had a look at this app aswell, Carly i think. If you you-tube 'carly for bmw' it seems quite straight forward but I have been told its £40.

Two items to purchase. App for Android/iPhone,Pad. Then OBD2 connector. Android, hard wired connector or Bluetooth connector. For IOS applications, iPhone,iPad. 2 Generation WiFi connector.
Check Carly website as you are in UK or on Amazon for Connector and whoevers App Store.

Works great on Apple products.
