Default e60 headlight len change

okay guys ive done a fair amount of research and understand what is involved, but where ever i got to purchase the lens there is no picture so i am not sure if it is the right one...does anyone have a link to a reputable seller.

I have found these....
RealOEM.com BMW E60N 523i Single components f headlight Xenon/ALC number4

BMW 63128375448 Headlight Cover | eBay

part number : 63128375448

also planning to do the orion v2 mod while i am at it and install projectors with the shroud

any information would be great.

Thanks

I'm not even sure the outer cover is available. This looks to be a US supplier why don't you contact them to show you what they are selling? It seems a bit shady to me.

Lens is not serviced independently of the headlight assembly. That cover you're referencing appears to be a small access cover for the backside of the headlight housing. If your lens needs replacement, you have to buy a complete headlight housing.

their is no way to change the lens, if its scratched up, i would do a process of wetsanding and clearing for it to look new again, if its broken...going to have to get a new one.

but all I need is the projectors, shrouds and orions.

Alright it sounds like you have pre-LCI halogens. If you are looking to add projector to your headlights, I would really recommend going with better projector than the Mini. While the Mini is easy to retro, the performance isn't as great as what many other projectors can give you.

And technically no, you need projector, shrouds, bulbs, and ballasts.

As far as the harness, you don't need to buy it if you purchase Orions v2 or v4, it comes with it.

Lastly, you don't want to open your headlights with a soldering iron.

your killing my dreams. ..haha, thanks for the input.

can you recommend somthing to open it with?

well I already had bulbs and ballasts so all I'm after are the projectors, shrouds and orions.

Put the headlight in the oven, let it heat up (carefully), then use a sharp knife and carefully cut it open.
