Anyone else mimic him when trying to unlock/lock your doors, its embarrassing when i'm picking up the kids from school and can't unlock my car, previous owner said a bmw garage said it was not the key/battery as it gets charged when in the ignition?
Got the boot to open once but that took some serious wand waving.

 

Sorry Mother. I've never had any issue at all with that. My keyfob is very accurate even from a distance...

 

If remote locking fails or deteriorates it is possibe that the antenna processing these signals and radio (called Diversity Module) has broken.

The rechargeable battery has a limited life,it will fail at some stage.Have you not tried your spare remote ?

 

Some of the remotes recharge and sone do not and need battery replacement. On mine, the '08 with comfort access needs remote battery replacements, while the basic system on teh '07 recharges in key slot. May have the cars reversed, but think this is right. Both sets of remotes look identical too. It's also in the owners manual.

 

I only got one key with the car and mines a 2004 model?

I am just wondering whether the diversity arial is making contact with the rear window properly as it has been heavily tinted?
